Philip A. Sanger, MD
A pulmonologist with over twenty-five years of clinical experience, Dr. Sanger has blended his medical expertise with entrepreneurial talent. Dr. Sanger was instrumental in growing Independent Physician Associations in the early 1990s before turning his attention to developing Hospitalist programs and tools to support them. His insights on hospitalist medicine and medical management strategies can be found in national publications like Managed Healthcare Executive, Health Insurance Underwriters, The Hospitalist Magazine, and Disease Management Advisor. In addition to his work with Order Optimizer, Dr. Sanger is involved with multiple healthcare-related companies including Intercede Health as founder and CEO.
Charles H. Robertson, Jr., MD

Dr. Robertson has practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine for over 30 years. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Robertson has held multiple leadership positions. He served as President of the Medical Staff of St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, held several officer positions (including president) for the American Lung Association of Virginia and the Virginia Thoracic Society, has been the State Medical Director and Medical Advisor for the Virginia Society for Respiratory Therapy and was a delegate for the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Robertson’s academic appointments have included: clinical associate professor, Medical College of Virginia; assistant professor of medicine and physiology and coordinator of the Pulmonary Division, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland; assistant clinical Professor of medicine, Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital; and assistant professor of medicine, University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He is the author of multiple articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Applied Physiology, American Journal of Medicine, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Critical Care Medicine.
